Welcome to the 2024/25 school year at Oden K-12 School!

I am honored to have the opportunity to guide the educational mission and serve our students, families and community as principal.  As your principal I am committed to setting high expectations for academic growth, parent/community involvement and ensuring that our students WIN in and out of the classroom. 

Our school has a long standing tradition of excellence in academics. Our primary goal at Oden is to ensure learning for all students. As a district, we are committed to providing a safe, caring environment where everyone learns and grows in order to be prepared for life.

Parents, Students, and Community Members,

This year's theme is “See, Everyone, Receive, Victory, Everyday.” The acronym SERVE will remind us of this worthwhile message. We are excited that you chose ORSD, and we want to thank you for choosing Ode Maddox Elementary, Oden High School, Acorn Elementary, and Acorn High School to educate your children.

A focus this school year will be to continue work with our parents, students, and community members that we refer to as “stakeholders.” We will use the “plan, do, check, act” model to consistently work on increasing our quality. Our goal will be to use feedback from people whose views are considered helpful and relevant with the intent to maintain strong engagement and a commitment to improvement. Our students and families are fortunate to live in a community where adults are committed to helping one another.

I am a 1989 graduate of Oden  School and care very much about our students and community.

I am a mother of two wonderful sons and grandmother of five. I live on a farm, love animals, sing in my church praise team, and love to read. 

My role is the SRO on the Oden campus. Building positive relationships with the students and their families is my primary goal, while keeping them protected with the utmost safety. In my free time I enjoy fishing and spending time with my family.

Foggy days, my village, and listening to audiobooks while digging in the dirt bring me pure joy! God is my lifelong bedrock and confidant. Teaching has given me a passion and opportunity to see beauty in the smallest of things and wonder in the greatest of things. I am blessed, thankful, and amazed every day at how God works in each of our lives.

I am a 1990 graduate of Oden High School. I have worked at Oden Schools since 2010. It’s such a blessing to live and work in our community.

I am the communication hub for our campus. I assist students, teachers, administrators, parents and visitors. I am responsible for student enrollment, tracking attendance and keeping student records up- to-date. I am also responsible for keeping all transportation records for drivers and buses/vehicles up-to-date.

My husband Carl and I have been married for 34 years. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. We like to go flea marketing, hunting, fishing and chase grandkids. We go to the beach whenever possible.

My name is Colby Kennedy and I am the head basketball coach at Oden High School. I am married and have a little girl named Ada James. I like to spend my free time with my family, going to church, and deer hunting.

I graduated from Oden School in 2016, and my husband is a 2020 graduate. We have been married for 6 months and are expecting our first child. 

I love this school, and it is amazing to work at the place that helped make me the person I am today. I enjoy being in a small, close-knit community because it is a blessing for all the kids and community members.

I am in my 9th year of teaching, with 8 of those years at OES. I graduated from Southern Arkansas University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

My husband Kelly and I have been married for 17 years and we have one daughter, Shaelyn, who is a senior at OHS. I love the Oden community, school, and students and I am blessed to work here. I enjoy shopping, traveling, camping, and spending time with my family.

I am a 1988 graduate of Oden. I have taught for 17 years with 13 years at Ode Maddox Elementary.

I am a member of Little Hope Baptist Church and love serving the Lord!

My husband and I have 2 children and 3 granddaughters. 

I live on a small farm and love all of our animals! 

I enjoy traveling with my family and reading is my passion!
