Ouachita River School District

School Choice Deadline is TODAY, MAY 1st. The Ouachita River School District is accepting applications for students wishing to participate in the School Choice Program. School Choice is the program authorized by the Arkansas General Assembly in The Public School Choice Act of 2015 which allows parents to apply for their child’s admission to participating school districts other than the one in which they reside. The Ouachita River School District will accept eligible students from other districts under the School Choice program during the 2020-2021 school year. Application forms are available at any of the school offices. They must be completed and returned on or before May 1, 2020. No application may be accepted beyond this deadline. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance or rejection by July 1, 2020, according to Arkansas state guidelines. REMINDER: Today is the ORSD Weekly Food Box pick up day. Pick up times- *Acorn from 10:00 -11:00 am at the cafeteria circle drive *Oden 10:30-11:30 am at the circle drive Everyone who has been signed up for food boxes and has been picking up their meals will remain on the pick up list. No Calls and No Shows twice in a row will lead to removal from the list. We are still full and have a waiting list. Please call Rose Bates 479-216-6302 for further information. Message from Polk County ARVAC office: At present we will still be distributing Commodities to the general public Tuesday April 28, 10:00 am to 1:00pm at the Polk County Fairgrounds.  The health and safety of the community is always our focus, therefore, for this distribution no one will have to leave their vehicle. If possible please post this updated sign where it may be visible to the public. Please see the attached flyer.

We will need to copy the following for your child's file: *Official Birth Certificate *Social Security Card *Shot Record *Kindergarten Physical All documents must be in file before school starts.
