Seniors, I am very sorry this national pandemic has happened on your senior year.  I wanted to send this message in order to encourage you at a time that I know most of you need it.  Know as soon as things are back to normal, ORSD will do everything in our power to honor you all for your dedication, accomplishments, and achievements.  I look forward to your graduation and proms!  I don't know when that will happen yet but Lord willing, we will have those events as soon as possible.  Right now the best thing to do is to stay at home and distance ourselves for one another in order to slow down the spread of this serious virus.   Again, I am very sorry that this has happened to you all on your senior year.  That is certainly not fair, but life is not always fair, as you know.  What matters the most is how we treat each other during this tough time in our nation.  Please know I am proud of you and how you have conducted yourselves this year.  Now is the time we need you the most to do what is right. Message from AAA and a reminder that campuses will be CLOSED to students and student athletes until 03-30-2020:

**Acorn High School** AMI packets, Virtual Arkansas AMI packets for Virtual Arkansas students only, music department choir CDs for spring musical, and Mrs. McGee's science/spanish students info are all available outside of the Acorn High School Office. Mr. Taylor encourages everyone to follow health guidelines and make the best of the time they have with their family. "Enjoy your break and stay safe. "

5th and 6th Science Classes - Engineering projects are available for pick up today until 3:00 to work on at home during AMI days. If your have not taken yours home, try to pick it up if possible. Good luck and have fun!!!! Ms. Nance

ORSD Family, If you are needing us to provide your child meals this Tuesday through Friday please call or text Mrs. Rose at 479-216-6302 today in order for us to get a good count. Acorn and Oden meals can be picked up from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in our cafeterias. Thank you!

The Before and After School Program at Acorn will be postponed until further notice

ORSD Community: Please download our ORSD app, if you have not already done so. We will use the app, District Facebook page, and website for communication with you. Once you have downloaded the app, you can adjust the settings to receive push notifications. This works much like text message notifications. See attached photos. ORSD Family, ORSD is open tomorrow, but it is optional for students. If you have not received your AMI packet through day 10, they may be picked up in the offices Monday before 4:30 pm. The Governor has closed Arkansas Schools Tuesday March 17th until March 30th. Jerry Strasner
