Oden families,
We had the BEST first week of school! I would like to thank students, teachers, staff and families for your help and support in starting off a new school year. Our biggest challenge so far this year is the earlier start time. One thing that will help is keeping the car rider line moving in the morning. I ask that parents please stay in your car and Nurse Meg will help get your child out of the car if needed. I appreciate your help and if you have any questions please contact me. 🧡🖤🐺

Community members throughout Montgomery County support the Oden K-12 School campus staff throughout the week before the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Sheriff David White and Oden Schools’ Resource Officer Josh Baker conducted school security training for Oden staff members on August 17th as they prepared for students to return on August 22nd. After the training, the Oden Baptist Church hosted an appreciation luncheon for the Oden campus staff. Pastor David Tucker led the staff through prayer, shared encouragement, and presented gift bags prepared by members of the Oden Baptist Church congregation. On August 18th, members of Farmers Bank served a barbeque lunch and gave out gifts to Ode Maddox Elementary and Oden High School staff as a sign of support for the upcoming year.
